Emergency Temporary Closure of Bedford Road, Turvey 2020 65
Length Affected From Priory Farm for approx.180m
This emergency temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 5th October 2020 onwards until the works are complete. This temporary road closure is required to facilitate contractors to lay approx. 180 meters of 125mm HPPE SD17 water main and is required for the safety of the public and workforce while Anglian Water undertakes these works and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.
The signed alternative route for vehicles affected by the order is available via
Bedford Road, Stagsden Bypass, Newport Pagnell Road, Newport Road, Main Road, Newport Pagnell Bypass East, Chicheley Hill, Sherington Bypass, Bridge Street, High Street South, Market Place, High Street, Dartmouth Road, Wellingborough Road, Warrington Road
The reverse route applies
The emergency closure is required by Anglian Water in order to repair the water main that was recently damaged. The work is necessary in order to fully restore the water supply to the residents of Turvey.
The signed diversion route is intended for large vehicles that are likely to be using the A428. We understand that the residents of Turvey will use the local roads (through Stevington and Bromham) to gain access to the east.
