Rural Affairs Committee
Following the 2019 elections one of the roles I was assigned was as a member of the Rural Affairs Committee. The committee is made up of three Executive Committee members and three lay Cllr members. During my period since the election all the meetings of the committee have been cancelled “no business to discuss”! When I looked back at this committees’ record, I found it hadn’t sat since 2015. I have challenged the Mayor to ascertain why if grants have been awarded by the three executive members that constitutes “no business to discuss”. He has now agreed to actually hold a Rural Affairs Committee meeting on 5th October. My question to rural parishes is what would you like to see brought to this committee on your behalf
